Fern Gookin, LEED AP, is the Director of Sustainability for Revolution Recovery, a recycling company that provides a complete range of recycling services for the construction, manufacturing, commercial and residential markets throughout the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys. Their three facilities process an average of 1,500 tons of material each day. In addition to her work with Revolution Recovery, Fern is the Co-founder and Director of RAIR (Recycled Artist in Residency), a non-profit arts organization with a mission to challenge the perception of waste culture by providing a unique platform for artists at the intersection of art and industry. She is also the Chair of the City of Philadelphia’s Solid Waste and Recycling Advisory Committee and a founding board member of the National Association of Women in Construction Philadelphia Foundation. Fern has a BS in Architecture from the University of Maryland and an MS in Sustainable Design from Thomas Jefferson University. |
